Hi, I’m Maddy! I graduated with my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2012. I have worked with both pediatrics and adults in an outpatient location as well as a nonpublic school for autistic children and adults. My passions in the field are augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), childhood apraxia of speech, and speech sound disorders. I believe the most important aspect of a child’s ability to progress in therapy is to make a genuine connection, create meaningful activities to target skills, and train parents and caregivers to facilitate carryover.
I have been trained in PROMPTs for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), LAMP Words for Life, and Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD). I have experience working with additional AAC programs such as TouchChat, Lingraphica, and GoTalk Now. I am actively pursuing further education in the areas of tongue thrust and treatment post tongue tie revision.
I look forward to assisting your family through the progression of your child’s development!
