Talk & Play is back and we're moving indoors for the winter! Join us for a winter-themed class- full of sensory-rich activities (designed by a speech-language pathologist) to support your child's language, social, and play development.
On December 10th...we're building (and building, and building) a snowman at the Finksburg Library! Come dressed in your winter gear- we'll be throwing snowballs, reading "Sneezy the Snowman," digging through a snow sensory box, eating snacks, and making winter crafts! It's guaranteed to be a fun and adventurous time.
Children and their caregivers are invited to participate during two different time slots:
Children 0 -3 years: meeting from 9:30 - 10:30 am
Children 3 -6 years: meeting from 11:00 - 12:00 pm
*Suggested ages can/may be flexible- contact the event coordinator (Megan Myatt) with questions.
*NEW- "Take-Home Kits" are included in your purchase! Kits include: a "Sneezy the Snowman" book, a snowman toy, a winter treat, and tips for development.
Talk & Play groups are inclusive- no pre-requisite skills are required. Nut-free snacks are provided! In the event of inclement weather, we will propose and schedule an alternate date for the group.
Total cost is $35 / child for the event (caregivers do not need a ticket)
Please note- our play groups are semi-structured opportunities for you and your child(ren) to play, learn, and interact with their peers. These sessions are NOT a substitute for speech-language therapy. If you are interested in receiving a speech-language evaluation/therapy services, please see the group leader after the event.
